We’re proud to continue our three-year partnership with Start Lighthouse, an organization dedicated to advancing literacy and ensuring that every child feels seen, valued, and inspired through the power of books.
At Kinnect, we believe every child deserves access to stories that reflect their identity and expand their imagination. Representation in books matters, it shapes how children see themselves and understand the world around them. When kids open a book and see characters who look like them, speak like them, and dream like them, it builds confidence, empathy, and a lasting sense of belonging.
This year, our Kith employees volunteered alongside the Start Lighthouse team in the Bronx, sharing stories that have shaped their own lives and reminding us all that storytelling connects us in powerful ways. We also donated a collection of books featuring authentic representation in both characters and authors, helping ensure that every student has access to stories where they can see themselves reflected on the page.
It was a beautiful day celebrating the transformative power of representation and literacy and a reminder that when we invest in stories, we invest in brighter futures.
