Kinnect partnered with New Balance and hosted a fun and engaging back-to-school event for The Children of Promise ("COP") families. COP is a community-centered nonprofit organization that partners with children and families impacted by mass incarceration to dismantle the stigma and heal from the trauma plaguing Black and Brown communities. COP is the only agency in NYC that seamlessly provides access to therapeutic empowerment services and youth development all under one roof, where kids can feel safe and cared for. The event hosted 250 students (K-12th grades) from Brooklyn and the Bronx and provided backpacks filled with new grade-specific school supplies.
